Yawatahama people enjoy participating, watching, cheering up, eating and more in different events happening during the festival season. “Teya Teya Ondo” dance parade by a few thousand people as well as ritual dances such as Kara-Shishi-mai (lion dance) and Itsu-Shika-odori (five deer dance), Mikoshi (portable shrine) and Ushi-Oni (floats of cow-ogre) and more make this merry joyful autumn festival.
