Daiho-ji Zen Temple

Nishiyama Kazan, a distinguished monk of Rinzai School of Buddhism, once served as the superior at this temple. Visitors enjoy being at the Kannondo (shrine dedicated to Kannon Bodhisattva) which was designed after the model of Ginkaku-ji Temple in Kyoto and observing a statue called “Kazan Sho” made by Hirakushi Denchu, a traditional Japanese sculptor who practiced Zen Buddhism with Kazan.
